The though of establishing a center for science and religion studies took shape in the early years of the Islamic revolution in 1979. Discussing the relation between science and religion and social movements are fundamental issues underlying thoughts of it’s founder. The inseparable relation between religion in social and politics arena is evident in human society, therefore it was vital to explore and understand the role of religion and spirituality in all positive or negative aspects of human life.

In order to answer the most fundamental and the most ancient human question of thinking, a new approach and new language was needed that would benefit from the history lessons of the human experience. Therefore, the center for religion and science focused its activities in cooperation with teachers and students and those interested in such studies.

Principles of the unity of science and religion are based on number of fundementals, including widening the meaning of these two concepts of which theoretically obtained and the actual narrative reminiscent of Holy Prophet (PBUH & HF) has said: “العلم و الدین توأمان اذ افترقا احترقا” science and religion are united, if separated both are burnt (pbuh).

Goals of the Center for Science and Religion:

Creating an environment for understanding and harmoney between Religion and Science, therefore, the more is known about religion in scientfic fields, and the more is known about science is religious fields, both agree that religious thinking is important in human society.

Research in these areas and explain the nature and precise definition of the limits and potential of each field.

Better Definition of each of these two fields by respective perspectives.

Creating a single system for the development of thinking and a universal consensus among scientists and researchers and convergence of ideas and resolve differences.

Roles and Responsibilities of the Center for Science and Religion:

Responding to doubts due to lack of proper understanding, through publications, meetings, conferences and so on.

Creation of scientific groups to manage and monitor field activities

Creation of executive departments in the field of research, education, publications.

Identify and communicate with scientific centers, nationally and internationally.

Identify and connect with researchers and religious personalities with open-mind

Establishment of information center and database for journals and scientific papers

Creating economic context with appropriate activities to expand and strengthen the financial resources of the Center for national and international presence.

Shiite spiritual wisdom and mysticism

Parapsychology, talent and strength of human spirit

Discussition on comparative religion and comparative practical and theoretical mysticism

Logo has two primary elements (two wings and a circle in the center)

The Logo represent a person with two wings and two hands towards the sky

Two wings refer to the flight and escalation of a person with the power of evolution in science and religion

The Circle which represents the head of the person and is centred, emphasysis on the importance of thinking and the mind

In summary, two wings create a form of prayer and hands toward the sky point out the inherent human need to connect with the spritual world and ultimate power of God.

The center circle represents the global intent of the center

The three feathers on each wing represent the three pillars of Monotheism, Prophecy, and Leadership
